About Me
I am Alex Arnell, a web application developer from Vancouver Island, Canada. I have spent over 10 years developing applications for a living, the last 4 of which have been writing web applications in Ruby. I say Ruby, because I like to switch things up, currently I am developing applications in Merb, Sinatra, and using plain old vanilla Rack APIs.
In my spare time I enjoy hacking away at various side programming projects and staying active. I love the outdoors and playing sports. I am a Brit, so naturally football (aka soccer) is one of my favorites. However, having grown up in Canada I have a liking for Hockey. Come the winter months I’m probably playing too much Hockey. But hey, I’m young relatively speaking, I might as well enjoy it while I can.
